This exquisite antique Art Deco finely crafted Platinum and 18ct rich yellow gold ring, is mounted at its centre with a stunning clear glittering 9 mm x 7 mm emerald cut Blue Zircon gemstone; displaying a striking rich aqua blue shade.This wonderful natural Blue Zircon gem displays a natural and fascinating "double refraction",and is four Platinum claws set in a light catching "open back" setting and surrounded by fourteen pave set clear bright ice white sparkling 1.5 mm round cut brilliant Diamonds.A further eight 1.2 mm round cut brilliant Diamonds are arranged as two raised sparkling cluster; in line with the chenier shoulders of the substantial 18ct yellow gold shank.The exquisite Platinum crown measures 12 mm length,12 mm wide and 6 mm depth.The interior of the yellow gold shank is embossed with its original Platinum and 18ct gold marks: "PLAT & 18CT" and an additional set of British Birmingham hallmarks; including the numerical 18ct gold and Platinum marks: "750" and "950".The weight measures 3.75 grams.The condition is very good; there are no signs of damage to the secure Platinum set finest gemstones or to the artfully crafted crown.The only signs of age is a very slight wear to the edges of the Zircon's facets; not noticeable to the naked eye, and a subtle thinning to the shank's base.
