I am now making these coats to a *Bespoke* - Made to measure size to fit your dog to your exact measurements, with a Roll Neck or a Hood, but I do need 3 measurements from you to be able to start, they are:
Length:
Measure the length of your dog from collar to base of tail, you want this measurement plus whatever extra you might want for the coat to overhang a bit. ie; 28" + 4" = 32".
Thus, the measurement you need when choosing the size from the drop-down menu is; UP to 34".
Then, I also need these other measurements and information to be precise when making your dogs coat!
Chest:
Measure dog around the body behind the front legs to get the deepest chest measurement.
Collar:
Measure loose collar size.
I would also like to know the breed of dog (it does help!).
Your phone number, please.
Then, choose your colour, with roll-neck or hood & the size.
If you want any other changes, additions or adjustments made, just let me know in the email with your measurements.
When you pay, please include all these measurements & other requirements in the
*send seller an email* with your paypal payment and include your phone number please.
Please note that you CANNOT choose & pay for a Medium coat (maximum length 28") and then give me larger measurements, I would have to cancel the sale.
I usually can make the coat within 2 days depending on my commitments.
I have been making these coats for a long time as I have a Black labrador who doesn't consider a walk complete unless she finds water or mud to cover herself in.
The coat keeps the water contained whilst in the car and keeps her warm.
Also, do you hate it when you've bathed your dog & they shake all over you & your furnishings before you can step back & get it towelled off?
With the Mou Coat, as soon as the bath is over, get your dog to sit and immediately get the coat on (head through the neck leaving the hood up and wrap the tie under the tummy, thread through loop on side & tie). Then when dog shakes, most of the water is contained within the fleece.
Many people are also finding that these are useful for an older dog who feels the cold. These are soft, lightweight and warm.
I use top quality polar fleece which is lightweight and absorbs moisture quickly.
They are washable at 40% and tumble dry.
Mou, my dog (yes, I named them for her), has one in every colour, she has friends who borrow them!
