A note on our beauty
products: We only sell brand new, unused beauty products. This means that
the products we sell have NEVER been used, sampled, tested, or swatched.
Period. In fact, the items we sell have never even been opened unless briefly
for photos. All our items are guaranteed to be 100% authentic. We only sell
items we have acquired personally from our own purchases at national retail
chains, high-end department stores, and other authorized retailers. We have
both the hard copy and digital receipts to prove this. We do not purchase items
from third parties to resell. This way we can guarantee the authenticity and
track the freshness of our inventory. We are against selling used beauty
products. It is against eBay policy, is unethical, and un-hygienic. It also
poses a potential health risk. All products come from a clean, climate-controlled
home that is also smoke-free and pet-free.
Clarification on product
packaging: A few times we’ve been asked why a product wasn’t sealed. With
over 25 years of experience in the beauty industry, we have learned that while some
brands seal their products, others don't. Some brands seal certain of their
products and not others. All products we sell are in pristine, new condition just
as we receive them from the manufacturer or other authorized retailer. If we
receive the item sealed, you will also receive a sealed item. If the item comes
unsealed, you will receive a new but unsealed item. We have no control over a
company’s packaging procedures. We have also found that it is more common for
travel-size items to come from the company unsealed. Just because something
does not have a seal does not mean it isn't new. We never sell any item that
has been used, sampled, or tested in any way. We sell items exactly as we receive
them from the manufacturer.
Also, whenever possible we enter the UPC number of the
products we sell so that the number is clearly displayed in the listing. We
also photo the UPC number when it’s available. However, occasionally certain
products do not display a UPC number. The 2 most common reasons for an item to
not have an available UPC number: 1) The item comes in a gift set or value set.
In these cases, the UPC typically displays on the box or packaging the set comes
in and represents the set as a whole and not the individual items within the
set. Often beauty sellers like us sell the items individually from these sets,
so in certain cases the individual items from the set may not have a UPC
number. 2) Often travel-size items come with a UPC number. If the travel-size
item is boxed it is more likely to display a UPC number. However, in general,
travel-size items don’t carry a UPC number nearly as often as their full-size
counterparts.
Update on our policy:
We take great pride in our work and highly value each customer. We apply strict
quality control to all merchandise we receive, process, and sell. All employees
are required to adhere to rigorous standards. The overwhelming majority of our
customers are good, honest people but unfortunately beauty sellers have become
a target for scammers and dishonest buyers. Because of an increasing number of
buyers who abuse the system, we have been compelled to update our practices and
raise our expectations.
We generally do not accept returns. However, if an issue
arises, we will handle it on a case by case basis. Under no conditions will we
issue a refund to a buyer without the purchased product first being returned to
us in the same condition it was received, regardless of the claim made about
the purchased product. We cannot pay for return shipping costs. Return shipping
costs are the responsibility of the buyer. If you cannot agree to this policy,
please do not purchase our items. Thank you.
Any buyer who leverages the threat of negative feedback in
an attempt to coerce or exploit will be reported to eBay. Any buyer who expects
to get refunded for keeping free merchandise will be reported. Any rude,
vituperative, or suspicious messages will also be reported.
No International
Shipping: We currently do not ship internationally. Some of the reasons include
the following: First-Class shipping is the most economical shipping method;
however, this method does not allow for tracking. Therefore, we will not use
this method. Priority Mail International does allow for tracking; however, this
method is cost prohibitive for the majority of international buyers. For these
and other reasons we do not ship internationally. Thank you for your
understanding.
Feedback: We
leave positive feedback once we receive positive feedback from a buyer. We do
this to protect our business. While the overwhelming majority of our customers
are good, honest, and hard-working people, there is also a small percentage of
eBayers who seek to take advantage of sellers and exploit the system. As eBay
sellers for over 10 years we’ve experienced this difficult side of selling. For
this reason, we leave feedback after we receive positive feedback because we
can’t in good conscience leave a positive feedback to a customer who may
eventually seek to take advantage of us.
Mutual Respect:
We believe strongly in customer appreciation and recognize we couldn’t make it
without our buyers. However, we wish some customers would try to see things
from the seller’s point of view and would appreciate the service we offer to
our customers. We feel we are not only speaking for ourselves but also for many
other sellers. Like most small business owners on eBay we do not have access to
wholesale prices but still manage to bring excellent deals to our customers on
a daily basis. For example, we purchase a certain mascara at full price for
$27.50 and yet have sold it for $17.99 on eBay. The market dictates the price
point for most of our items. Like many other sellers, we rely on things like
gifts with purchase, occasional discounts and coupons, bonus programs, etc. in
hopes of making a small profit each day.
Also, some eBayers have assumed that all travel-size
cosmetic items have been acquired as freebies or gifts with purchase. This is
not always true. Often times travel-size items have been purchased at full price
or have been acquired in gift sets or purchase-with-purchase sets that were not
free. This information is being shared in a sincere effort to educate the
consumer because some eBayers have not yet had the opportunity to experience
the selling side of eBay.
In addition to offering competitive pricing, sellers also
pay eBay listing fees, final value fees, shipping fees, and PayPal fees. While
we recycle and re-use as much packaging material as we can from inventory
purchases, we still pay for bubble mailers, packing tape, scotch tape, post-it
notes, tissue paper, and bubble wrap. We also purchase paper and ink cartridges
to print shipping labels and pay for gas to and from the post office among
other expenses. We also spend countless hours acquiring, receiving, and
processing inventory. We sort inventory, photo inventory, then upload and crop
photos. We list and then catalog the items we list. We package items and make
daily trips to the post office. We also spend a lot of time recycling packaging
materials that can’t be re-used. We ship our items very quickly, usually the
next business day. We even ship most Saturdays. We take extra care in packaging
our items and usually decorate our bubble mailers with stickers. We believe in
treating buyers with dignity and respect but also believe sellers should be
given credit for the service they provide and for offering outstanding deals
that usually can’t be found elsewhere.
