Vintage Felca Seascoper III mens automatic wristwatch

A rare divers watch that shares the same case as the Heuer 844 Monnin watches.Other information is that the Felca was the official dive watch of the United Arab Emirates,as some watches to be found have both English & Arabic day of the week. Not sure what are the facts. This watch has the day of the week in English & French.

The condition of this watch is about as good as you will find, unless a NOS one can be found. The watch looks to have had very little use,for what is a 40+ years old watch. There are some very light marks & tiny nicks to the 41-42mm diameter case(45.5mm including the orignal signed crown),but nothing obvious. The bezel is also excellent with only one or two tiny marks. The insert looks almost as new, possibly faded a little & with a few tiny marks. The caseback shows the embossed submarine,& still very distinct as this has often worn away with many of these watches as it is a very light embossing.

The matt black dial looks excellent, with no deterioration of the luminous.Hands also look perfect, with luminous still intact. It all looks as new.Crystal doesn't show a mark,no scratches, nothing,& it looks to have not been replaced.

I haven't opened up this watch as the caseback is on very tight.I didn't want to cause any damage with not having the correct tool for this,so left well alone. The movement inside should be the 25 jewel ETA2836-1,
which has the hacking feature,as does this watch. The watch is running well & keeping time, but I have no idea if this watch has ever been serviced,so for this reason I cannot give any guarantees to its future performance.

The watch is fitted with a new thick brown leather strap.

This is a now rare watch, this particular one being in excellent condition, making it somewhat rarer.
