World War I Promotion Certificate in Vintage Frame – Camp Abraham Eustis, Va. (Oct. 1918)

This wartime promotion certificate (approx. 8 x 10) in what appears to be the original vintage frame (approx. 14 ½ x 12) is for the promotion of George Squires to the rank of Corporal in Battery C, 38th Artillery, of the U.S. Army, based in Camp Abraham Eustis, Newport News, Va. It was issued Oct. 18, 1918, while fighting by U.S. troops in World War I was still under way.

Condition: It’s unknown whether the certificate has ever been out of its frame, so the condition of the certificate is based on a visual inspection as it is housed in the frame. The printing and ink on the certificate is clearly visible, with the certificate appearing to have some age-related wear. The decorative wood frame is in good condition, with a few small chips on the lower edge.

Shipping includes U.S. Postal Service tracking service.
