If you have a DX crop sensor digital, this is like a 800mm in old-school film terms.
Specifications
Mirror lenses have the distinct advantage of being extremely compact and light in comparison to their equivalent focal lengths of standard lens design.
Most 500mm mirror lenses are F8 in size and can sometimes prove difficult to use in lower light or if you are in a hurry - that's where this one is a boon as it has a faster F6.3 aperture.
It measures just 5" in length and can be hand held on your SLR when light levels permit and you have a shake-free stance, though to be fair, superior results are achieved by supporting this lens conventionally on a tripod....but what lens doesn't that ring true for anyway.
The lens comes ready to fit to your Nikon Digital SLR (all versions).
The lens is in Excellent cosmetic condition with the focus being steady throughout the entire range.
As with all mirror lenses - works in Aperture Priority and / or Manual mode, where you can check exposure on your camera’s histogram.
