The WAO Kranius is the 4th generation of WAO programmable robot kits. The 2-wheeled robot can be programmed to follow an interesting path without the use of an external PC!
The brain of the robot is an 8-bit microcontroller and a built-in keyboard with 33 tactile buttons. The micro stores up to 60 programming steps and 30 "for-next" multiplex loops. The robot features six vision sensors including 2 infrared light sensors to detect obstructions and 4 floor light sensors to detect a contrast of light (like the edge of a table) to allow for complex programming.
Makes you plan ahead, think systematically and logically, develop problem-solving skills, and challenges you to think creatively. A comprehensive assembly and programming manual is included help you learn as you build. Both electronics and mechanics are powered by 2 standard AA batteries, not included. From Owikit. |
