The “T” aperture on the Tatula Type-R Casting Reel promotes free-flowing movement of the line through the wide top section on the cast, reducing the normally sharp angles and friction that slow line flowing through the narrow apertures found on other reels.
During the retrieve, line drops into the narrow, lower channel of the T-wing for even distribution across the spool width. With a rugged gear train, fully supported within a rigid aluminum housing, Daiwa's Tatula Type-R reels meet the durability and performance requirements of professional anglers. Solid-aluminum frame and sideplate deliver maximum support that locks in the drivetrain for extreme durability and minimal to zero torque on frame. Ultimate Tournament Drag® delivers a maximum of up to 13.2 lbs. fighting resistance.
