This is a beautifully hand crafted Chinese export silver prunus center bowl.

From Wang Hing. The marks well struck.

In raised cauldron form with gently ruffled rim. The form is not often seen.

All over hand carved cherry blossom leaf and flower.

Hundreds of individually raised flowers. Rising from tree branches with gnarled rough surfaces as real. Stippled background like satin.

Atop a single winding prunus branch, curved in V shape to form three feet. United by pierced leaf and floral panel. This base also in a not often seen form.

Never monogrammed.

Chinese export center bowl is 6 3/4 inches tall and 6 1/2 wide and weighs 24 1/2 (standard) ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

Excellent condition. Rich lusterous silver patina throughout. Beautifully carved leaf and floral retain their original facial detail. Stands firm on table. Mild wear.
