I am very excited to send this e-mail to you! As you know I was having some problems with another resin I was using, when it came to big items that was sanded not being clear. Well I just tried your new Super Clear Resin and it ROCKS! I just got done with 2 test bangles and they turned out great. After the bangles were cured, I sanded (under water with a dash of dawn) with wet dry sandpaper 320 - 400 - 600 - 800 - 1200 - 2000. After that I used your Novus 1 - 2 - 3 kit. This is also the first bangles I have done with colored ink in them.

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about the Resin Obsession Super Clear Resin:

Question: How do I mix super clear resin?

Answer: You will need to mix 2 parts of resin (part A) to 1 part of hardener (part B).

Question: Is there a minimum of resin I have to mix?

Answer: You need to mix a minimum of 10 cc of Part A (resin) to 5 cc of Part B (hardener) in order to get the proper chemical reaction and hardening to occur.

Question: Are there any special mixing instructions?

Answer: Pour the hardener in slowly while mixing the resin. Pouring all the hardener in at once may cause the mixture to heat up and cure quickly. This is especially the case if you are working with volumes totalling more than 3 ounces. Be sure to also scrape the sides of your cup while mixing.

Question: Do I have to use special mixing utensils to mix super clear resin?

Answer: We highly recommend using inert plastic mixing cups, especially those with graduated measure marks on the side to make sure the resin is measured exactly. We cannot guarantee positive results using styrofoam cups, party cups, water bottles, etc.

Question: How long does it take for Super Clear resin to harden?

Answer: You can usually demold your project in 8 hours. A full cure can be obtained in 24 hours.

Question: How long do I have to work with Super Clear resin once it's mixed?

Answer: You have approximately 20 minutes to work with the resin (pot time) before it starts to thicken as it cures.

Question: What is the shelf life of unmixed Super Clear Resin?

Answer: You have one year to use the resin. After 6 months, your hardener may start to turn slightly yellow, but it will continue to work with the resin.

Question: Will Resin Obsession Super Clear resin stay crystal clear with time?

Answer: Yes, our jewelry quality resin will remain clear for many years.

Question: Can I use super clear resin in my molds and bezels?

Answer: Yes, it will work very well!

Question: Is super clear resin suitable as a doming resin?

Answer: No, this resin should only be used to fill cavities with 'sides', such as bezels, molds, etc.

Answer: Super clear resin is designed to be as crystal clear as possible for many years. It also has a superior bubble release, making it almost uneccessary for you to remove bubbles after mixing.
