ANTIQUE ENGLISH GEORGIAN PERIOD SILVER PASTE SAPPHIRE PASTE BUCKLE BROOCH c1800 An antique English, solid silver brooch; set with rows of foiled clear pastes and alternating opalescent glass cabochons and sapphire pastes. A nice unusual Georgian period brooch...collectable & wearable too! CONDITION: Generally good. Originally a buckle, converted in antiquity. Slight signs of wear and paste/foil discolouring commensurate with age and use. DATE/MARKS: Around 1780/1800. Not marked. DIMENSIONS: 47 x 30 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
