Nice brass so called student lamp, it has a thin glass shade. The lamp can slide up and down over the centre rail, it has a double oil tank and is filled on the back where it has a lid that can be removed. The principal of communicating vessels. ( I think) he wick moves up and down, that is as far as we have tested the working condition. Glass chimney in the centre. Signs of use, some dents, scratch in the glass of the shade. Overall in excellent condition given its age. Origin England. 1900s old. It stands approx. 25.5” or 65 cm tall and 16”or 41 cm wide and 10.5” or 26.5 cm deep.
