You are admiring an amazing creature known as a "Carrier shell"...a miraculous specimen, a Xenophora pallidula (Reeve, 1842) measuring a very nice 84mm...incredibly fascinating form featuring a fantastic display of attachments displayed on this deep H2O specimen...many different species of shells were chosen by this creature to attach & display including some really awesome Terebra!!  This beauty was collected in tangle nets at 100-120m off Balicasag Island, Philippines.  A member of the Xenophoridae family which is becoming quite popular with collectors.  If you have a Xenophoridae collection ongoing or are just starting one, I think you will be quite pleased with this addition to your collection.  To collect Carrier Shells is something well worth your time...I find them them miracles of nature.  Thanks for visiting our store tonight...and an excellent choice, too.
