Juvenile Diplomystus dentatus
This Diplomystus dentatus Fossil Fish is from the 18" level of the Green river formation of Wyo.
This is not from the split Fish level.
The juvenile Diplomystus are found on the softer edges of a section of the 18 inches level of the formation.
Most generally they do not show up in the harder center sections.
They are approximately 50 Million years old.
This one measures .75 inches. This species range from .5 inch to 19 inches.
