Frederick Charles Richards (1878-1932) was a painter and etcher. In 1914 he was commissioned by A & C Black to make drawings for the Windsor and Eton Sketchbooks  and Black also published his drawings of Venice, Florence and Rome. Among other projects, he was later commissioned by  London Transport to make a series of drawings to advertise the Underground. Much of his life was dedicated to art education.

Despite the damage to this copy this remains a very fine collection of drawings by an accomplished artist of the early 20th Century.
