In 2003 Margarette Steiff GmbH launched a new series of truly exceptional, costumed teddy bears - "The Wedding Party". First in the series were the bride and groom, followed in 2004 by the the bride's parents.

The fairy-tale inspiration behind these lavishly-dressed bears, was the yesteryear of Bavarian King Ludwig ll.

The Father of the Bride wears traditional Lederhosen , together with a felt waistcoat, felt hat and leather boots.

Traditionally hand-crafted from luxurious white mohair, his nose has been hand-sewn and he has beige wool felt paw pads.

Gold-plated "Button-in-Ear" and white consecutively-numbered ear tag.

An incredible, very rare bear, lovingly handmade with extraordinary attention to detail.

Mint condition with original box, outer box and Certificate of Authenticity.
