ANTIQUE VICTORIAN PERIOD ENGLISH 15K GOLD HEART LOCKET MOURNING LOCKET c1890  

An antique English, solid 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts) mourning ring; with the band reading 'In Memory Of', and a heart shaped head hinging open to reveal a tiny hidden locket compartment holding an old hair memento, easily changed out.

A collectable & very wearable Victorian mourning ring!

CONDITION: All original and generally good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Band & head originally enamelled, most now missing. Old sizing to band. Hinge & closure good.

DATE/MARKS: English hallmark illegible, around 1880/90.

DIMENSIONS: Head 7.8 x 7.4 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

RING SIZE: I or 4 ½ US (not easily resized).

WEIGHT: Approx. 2.1 grams.
