*How will I know if my sound system is factory amplified / premium or not? 
Even though the factory radio may not look premium, there is a possibility that it is indeed premium; this is a common characteristic of Saab vehicles. The ONLY WAY to be 100% sure is to pull out the factory radio and check the wire chart label.  There will be two charts; one for the 14-pin harness and the other for the 16-pin harness.  If on the 14-pin harness chart, the #6 pin is labeled 'RmtEnable', then you have an amplified / premium sound system and this wire harness WILL work for your vehicle.  Please check our other listings for the non-amplified version of this wire harness if your system is not premium.
