The 5IVE-B buggy is the 1/5-scale kit for hardcore racers who don't want to settle for a 1/5-scale truck conversion. It has been designed from the ground up to the exacting standards of TLR® engineering and includes a feature set you simply won't find in anything else like it.
Purpose-Built Racing Chassis
Unlike most so-called 1/5-scale racing buggies, this one comes with a chassis specifically engineered for competition. Inspired by the legendary TLR 8IGHT platform, it is machined from hard-anodized, 5mm 6061-T6 aluminum and features a shorter wheel base for better handling. It also has milled pockets that save weight and allow enough flex for maximum traction under hard acceleration.
Heavy Duty Brakes
Stamped-steel rotors, combined with the heavy duty plates and pads, provide a sense of confidence and control that let racers drive harder into the turns and come to a stop more quickly. Front-to-rear braking bias can also be fine-tuned for evolving track conditions.
Dual-Steering-Servo Radio Tray
The radio tray is designed to accommodate the most powerful 1/5-scale steering servos available. This includes the Spektrumâ„¢ line of 1/5-scale servos with patent-pending Back EMF technology that prevents servo fade and maintains maximum holding power for the duration of a receiver pack.
Racing Body and Wing
The cab-forward body and wing are inspired by those used on 1/8-scale racing buggies. The distinctive shape of the body moves aerodynamic pressure further forward on the car, which improves steering at speed. The wing has a removable wicker bill for adjusting rear downforce.
Aluminum Clutch Carrier and Center Diff Case
Harnessing the power of a high-output gas engine during an hour long main requires a race-bred drive system engineered to exacting standards. The 5IVE-B buggy has one. At the center of it is a clutch and center differential, both of which are housed in CNC-machined aluminum that adds strength and durability while helping to keep things cool.
Hard-Anodized Aluminum Shocks and Shock Towers
The hard anodized, 24mm shocks include bleeder caps that make them easier to build without sacrificing performance. The shock towers offer multiple shock mounting options that give racers an abundance of tuning options for different track conditions.
One-Piece Glue-Style Wheels
The low rotational mass of these wheels allow the buggy to accelerate faster with less stress on drivetrain components.
Air Filter Designed Specifically for the 5IVE-B Buggy
Whatever 25-32cc engine you choose, the included air filter has been designed to let it breathe deep so your 5IVE-B buggy gets the monster horsepower it was built for.
Axle Boots
Molded rubber boots on the CVAs and center drivetrain dog bones increase U-joint life by holding lubrication in and keeping dirt out.
Redesigned Shock Towers
The boots help keep grease in and dirt out so your axles last longer and require less maintenance.
Adjustable Toe and Anti-Squat Plates
These provide even more ways to tune the traction and overall performance of the chassis.

Shipping Rates and Information:
Most items are shipped via United States Postal Service or Fedex. We do not offer local pick-up. All items must be shipped on our shipper ID. We cannot use other accounts. All international shipments are United States Postal Priority or Fedex. We do not use First Class International shipping.
Combined Shipping:
Please do not complete checkout prior to adding your last item. We will send a updated invoice after all items are added to cart.
International Duties, Taxes and Fees:
International customers may be subject to additional import duties, taxes and other fees. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid upon delivery. Your shipping charge includes only the cost of shipping to you. Charges to clear your customs office for taxes and other charges are the responsibility of the buyer. These charges are beyond our control and vary by country.

Order processing:
Orders are shipped daily, Monday through Friday. We do not ship on weekends or National holidays. Once payments are verified, items are typically shipped within two business days. Orders paid by PayPal and e-Checks are only shipped to the confirmed address, no exceptions. If address is unconfirmed, payment will be refunded and auction cancelled.
Reduced shipping for multiple items:
We combine shipping for multiple items as long as you do not complete checkout prior to adding additional items. For orders with multiple items, you will be charged the appropriate additional item fee after the first item which will be charged at the single item rate.
Insurance:
All items are insured. If your item is damaged in shipment, we will work with you to remedy the situation with shipping carriers.
Order tracking:
You will receive an order confirmation with a tracking number once the item ships. The status of the order may be tracked on currier website. Tracking is not available for Military APO/FPO shipments.
Military shipments:
We ship all items to APO/FPO addresses via US Postal Service Priority Mail. Please allow up to 2-4 weeks for delivery. Tracking for these shipments is not available.
Payment and Sales Tax:
All items must be paid within 7 days. You will receive a payment notification after seven days. If payment is not received by the 7th day, your auction will be revoked and considered non-paid. A non-paying bidder report will be filed with eBay. If you bid on the item in error, just contact us and we can cancel the purchase. All payments must be made in US Currency.
State law requires that we charge sales tax on all orders shipped to the states of New Jersey at 7.0% (Sales tax subject to change).
We accept PayPal payments. If your PayPal account is linked to a checking or other banking account, payment may be considered an e-check. PayPal e-checks will not be shipped until PayPal provides verification of payment. This requires 3-5 business days from the date that checkout is completed. All shipments, no exceptions will only be shipped to the confirmed address with PayPal. If not confirmed, payment will be refunded, and auction cancelled.
Return Policies:
Your satisfaction is important to us. If for any reason, you are not happy with your item, it may be returned within 7 days of receiving the item. The item must be received in the same condition as it was sold and include all accessories, if applicable. Items can not be returned in a used state. Buyer is responsible for cost of shipping back to us for refund. Refunded amount is only the auction price, shipping is not refunded.
Return Guidelines:
- The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs, duties and taxes.
- Refund will be issued on the product price (and applicable sales tax) only. Original shipping is not refundable.
- Items must be received in the same condition as they were sold and must include all inserts, accessories, if applicable.

Each item that is shipped is insured. If you received a damaged item please contact customer service as soon as possible and we will work with you to rectify the situation to your satisfaction. If the item you received was not the item that you ordered, please use the Ebay Message Service. We will arrange to replace your item and pick-up the incorrect item as quickly as possible.
