One of the most popular all mountain skis in the world for the last decade, the Volkl Mantra returns for 2015 with a new shape but the same old acclaim. This new Mantra maintains the frontside precision rare for a 100mm wide ski that made it a star, but excels even more in soft snow conditions. The revised tapered tip makes entering and exiting turns quicker and easier, while the full rocker (AKA reverse camber) shape makes the ski more forgiving and offers even better float in soft snow. The 2015 Mantra also has a slightly wider waist: moving up from 98mm to 100mm. The power of the Mantra is still there, and it certainly remains an advanced to expert level ski. But, with a bit of playfulnes now added to its prior all business attitude, this new Mantra just may be the best Mantra of them all.
