About Schleich Horses
Friedrich Schleich founded the company in 1935. The now famous Schleich figurines first came to life in the 1950s. At that time Schleich started to concentrate on the development, production and marketing of comic figurines. And they are still popular and well known: The Smurfs, Snoopy, and many many more. Since the early 1980's Schleich added animal figurines to their range of products and consequently extended this area. The animal play worlds created over the years are a true reflection of nature on a smaller scale. Spanning from the lost world of the dinosaurs to domestic and wild animals of present times. Meanwhile, and starting in 2003, Knights, the Wild West theme and Elves have also been added to the popular Schleich Play Worlds.
How Big is My Item?
Each of our listings gives you the scale of the item. Below is a brief guide to help you understand scales.
The key thing to remember is that the larger the number on the right, the smaller the model horse!
Image we had a real horse that was 16hh (about 162cm tall). This is how tall he would be in the various model horse scales:
Traditional (1:9 Scale) - 18cm
Classic (1:12 Scale) - 13.5cm
Paddock Pal (1:24 Scale) - 6.75cm
Stablemate (1:32 Scale) - 5.06cm
Miniature (1:64 Scale) - 2.53cm
Please note - sizes are approximations only, each model will vary. As items are to scale some breeds, such as ponies or foals, will be much smaller than others.
Payment
We accept payment via PayPal, Cheque or Postal Order. If you wish to pay by credit or debit card you can do this via the PayPal checkout.
International buyers - we can only accept PayPal from you, sorry!
Payment should be made as soon as an item is purchased. If you are unable to pay for any reason please just get in touch. If payment is not received within 7 days we will open an unpaid item case.
Postage
All items are posted the same or next working day.
We are unable to post items at weekends. As a general rule if you place your order before 2pm on a working day it should be posted that same day.
UK 2nd class postage is free on all our items, you are welcome to use the 'postage' button at the top of the listings to view costs to international destinations or for expediated services.
2nd class postage takes around 3-5 working days, we recommend you opt for 1st class or special delivery if you would like an item quickly.
Courier Postage
We offer courier postage on domestic and international parcels.
You will need to provide a telephone number if you are opting for courier postage.
The courier will be booked for the next working day (provided you have paid for your item before 5pm). UK delivery is usually the next working day after that (around 48 hours after you have purchased your item). International postage takes around 7 days.
Some larger items have to go via courier because of Royal Mail postage requirements, if we contact you for a telephone number do not be alarmed, it is simply a requirement of the courier firm we use.
Courier postage is not available to Russia.
Refunds
You are welcome to return your item within 14 days of purchase.
If you would like to return your item please drop me a message and let me know, you can then use the eBay returns process to return it.
Please let us know if you would like a replacement rather than a refund, this may not always be possible but where we have the stock we are more than happy to accommodate.
The buyer is responsible for return postage.
As soon as the item has been received and checked over we will issue you a refund or replacement as requested.
