Vintage Specialized Stumpjumper Mountain Bike

This is a 1986 Stumpjumper Pro Comp.

 In that year Specialized made 3 different levels of grade for the Stumpjumper….. Sport, Pro Comp & Team

 Each was progressively better in parts but shared the same frames.

The Pro Comp and the Team were very closely equipped while the Sport was pretty tame comparably and priced a couple hundred dollars less than the Pro Comp.. 

This particular bike is 90% original. It does not have the OEM saddle & tires… and the front rim is not stock though it is a like quality replacement

All other components and parts are completely original.. right down to the cables and brake pads..

The bike is in used condition…..

The frame has some scratches and chips. but no dings, dents or damage.

The rims are true and all the components are in good working order.

It could use a new chain and pads… the grips do show some wear..

I never changed anything to try to keep the bike as oem as possible

Unfortunately the front rim was damaged as was the seat.. that is why I replaced them.

I have made every attempt to accurately describe this bike..if you find something is not correct.. please let me know.. I don't know everthing..about everything! LOL!

This is a nice bike…it will give you years of service..

This vintage Stumpjumper makes for a great touring rig.. a perfect casual dirt rider or everyday utility bike… all the while being a fantastic piece of biking history!

I’ve had a great time owning it… and will sorry to see it go… I know the next owner will love it too…!
