BARBIE® DOLL 1970 TNT TWIST 'N TURN #1160 LT. BROWN MARLO FLIP EYELASH NEW IN BOX!

Up for ebaY bids is a genuine Mattel
1970 Twist 'N Turn Barbie doll.

Barbie has never been removed from her
original shrink-wrapped cellophane
packaging. She is marked JAPAN,
so she is a genuine vintage doll, not
a reproduction :)

Barbie's tiny black & white end labels reads "LT. BROWN" referring to her hair color.

Veteran Barbie doll collectors like me
refer to this as the "Marlo Flip" because it reminds us of the TV sitcom "That Girl"
which starred Marlo Thomas, thus the
"Marlo" moniker!

We also LOVE this doll when she is NRFB,
or Never Removed From Box, as that
adorable "spit curl" at her right-side
part is often mussed or combed back
into her hair when this doll is in used,
or played-with condition!

Mattel lore states that Blonde & Brunette Barbie dolls were manufactured at a ratio
of two Blondes for every one Brunette, making the brunettes harder to find.

However, with this "Flip" hair style,
Mattel divided the brunettes into two shades, a deep, dark brunette and this light brown, almost auburn shade, so this shade of brunette is even harder to find!

Barbie has never been removed from her original shrink-wrapped package, but the right side seam of the shrink wrap has split, perhaps from the factory, perhaps from age,
which is common, but the doll is clean and dust/dirt free and her facial
coloring is bright and new-looking,
which is exceptionally hard to find
today as the doll is
46 years old!

So, this doll is decidedly not a reproduction.
The original shrink wrap cello has no holes, but as stated, there is a split where the original shrink-wrap came together as a seam on the side of the box.

The original oval paper Barbie label is intact
on the front of the package.

This doll has been in my personal
Barbie collection for two decades,
& it has spent the last decade inside of
a closed box, away from light, dust and dirt.

From a non-smoking home.

No mold or funny smells.
Being that the doll is NRFB, it
goes without saying, but there are
no nose nips
no green ear, or greening on the face
no neck slits
no knee splits
original toe finger nail polish
original swimsuit
original JAPAN wrist tag
original hair style
perfectly straight rooted eye lashes
no lip rubs
no missing hair plugs
no rubs to nail paint
no swingy hip
no broken knees
no wear to the clothing
no wear to Barbie's body
knees bend and hold a pose
no swingy arms
no missing fingers or toes

This 1970 version of TWIST 'N TURN
BARBIE #1160 wears a rose & white "Tye Dye"
nylon tricot swimsuit.

The beauty of this doll, other than her
"Christmas-morning-mint" condition,
is a evident in the photos by her coloring, perfectly straight rooted eye lashes, and perfect, factory-original hair style, and she a beauty to behold in person!
