Original circa 1860's-1870's cdv photo of two children. A girl reclines in a three wheeled carriage. She lays on a striped wool blanket with fringe around the edge. She holds her closed mouth doll (probably bisque). Next to her stands a boy holding his hat. On the floor in front of the carriage is a German painted tin toy train engine with two train cars behind it.

The back has the photographer's mark of: "Jackson Bros. Artists Photographers Jumbo Chadderton, W. Manchester, and Clegg Street, Oldham". So, the photo was taken in England.

On the front there is a tiny 3/16 inch black line flaw on the top background (possibly occurred in the making?). On the back of the matt there is a smudged area near the bottom from an old erasure of a penciled marking which still remains partly visible. This smudged area could probably be improved. But, we have decided to leave it just as we found it. The cdv measures 4 1/8 inches by 2 1/2 inches. An interesting & charming image with great visual appeal.
