HAR Smiling Chinaman/Laughing Buddha Clip Earrings

From the highly sought after series of Asian-inspired jewelry by HAR, these whimsical earrings are quite wonderful.   They are a Book Piece and appear in many references, including Schiffer's Fun Jewelry, where they are shown with other pieces from the Asian series (p 100).

The Asian line was a Oriental theme with faux ivory faces (plastic molded) accented with green Peking glass cabochons.

Their garments are cast in gold-plated metal with wonderful detail.  The designs in the fabric are both incised and in relief and it is trimmed with a row of aurora borealis rhinestones and a textured oval green Peking glass cabochon, simulating jade.

The earrings are clip-on and very three-dimensional, measuring over 1- 3/8" tall by 1" wide by just under 3/4" deep.

They are signed "HAR" with a "c" in a circle on the back of one.
