What makes this guitar special:  A wonderful, true vintage archtop with superb tone & classic good looks.  This gorgeous Triumph sports a massive 17 1/2" body with a carved spruce top; V-shaped maple neck & super groovy "checkered" tortoise pickguard.  Professionally set up by our luthier with fresh strings & low action, so she'd ready to go straight out of the case!

Cosmetic Condition:  Pretty good shape actually for being seven decades old!  Good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear.  There is a small crack in the bass side of the neck along the second fret.  The crack is in the surface of the wood & does not affect playability.  There is a crack in the treble side of the body near the neck joint.  The crack was professionally repaired some time ago & is very stable with no playability issues either.  The bottom portion of the tailpiece had a crack in it that was professionally braised & replated.  Again, very stable with no issues.  Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a nice patina.

Neck:  V-shaped maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots.  Beautiful, dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with diamond inlays.  Original frets show some light wear & have plenty of life in them.  Bound headstock with etched Epiphone logo.  E logo tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.  Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.

Body:  Double-bound with solid spruce top & dual F-holes.  Solid maple back & sides.  Frequensator tailpiece with nickel hardware & floating rosewood bridge.  Bound tortoise pickguard with ultra cool "checkered" texture.  17 1/2" lower bout width; 12 3/4" upper bout width; 3 1/4" depth.  There is no pickup & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 9.6 oz.
