Its sharpened 14 and 1/2 inch blade is marked CORTS SOHN REMSCHEID on its side, crowned W/15 crowned D on its spine. Blade has oxidation spots and has dark patina spots. See acceptance proof photos below. Handle steel has oxidation spots and pitting areas. Wood grips, affixed with two slotted washer rivets, have no cracks and have some dents. Pommel press-stud functions well. Scabbard maintains traces of its original bluing, has three faint dents, has oxidation spots, and has dark patina spots.
