I posted some sound samples here recorded here 'dry', then played more starkly here , and finally 'wetted down' here with a little reverb.
I find the Low G Fife easier to finger than the small bore fifes because my guitar-calloused fingers seal the holes better. Low G is ideal for playing in C Major (the 4th above G), because you get notes below C down to G (which the C fife lacks). Starting from the second note A you get the Pentatonic scale in A plus scale(s) in A minor.
The Teak Low G Fife has the contoured mouthpiece I carve to smoothe the airflow. Notes form faster inside the fife when airflow over the outside of fife becomes laminar. The contoured mouthpiece yields more expression and volume, and ease of playing.
This Fife comes with instructions, also posted here. I ship promptly. Please email me with any questions you may have.
