1840 SG2 1d BLACK PLATE 9 ON COVER GATESHEAD TO LONDON 4 MARGINS RED CROSS (AB)

 

A fine used 4 margin example, tied by a double strike of a bright red Maltese cross to entire. 

Gateshead forwarding on reverse for December 28th 1840.

 "O" flaw,  2 vertical guide lines in, and dot above NE square. Deep shade. Spec AS56. 

Central filing fold but a very nice cover. SG Cat £1200.00
