COMPLETE SET OF MANX MARITIME HERITAGE ISLE OF MAN CROWNS

This set of four crowns were released in 1982 & they commemorate Manx maritime history

They feature:

Captain Myles Standish, who had Manx connections. He was one of the leaders of the Pilgrim Fathers aboard the Mayflower

Captain John Quilliam, one of Nelson's heroes aboard 'The Victory' at the Battle of Trafalgar

Fletcher Christian, who had Manx connections, & the 'HMS Bounty'. Christian led the famous mutiny & set adrift Captain William Bligh, who himself once lived on the Isle of Man & actually married a Manx girl in Onchan Church

Captain William Cain, who steered his paddle steamer 'Mona's Queen' into a German U-Boat, sinking it, during the World War One conflict

The official coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse

The coins are made from cupro-nickel & were struck at the Pobjoy Mint in England

The coins you will receive are the ones in the photos

These coins come to you from the Isle of Man, where I am lucky enough to live & from where I source all of my Isle of Man items
