Absolutely gorgeous silk brocade vintage robe dressing gown

I think this most likely dates to the 1940's and was once a gentlemans robe - possibly a smoking jacket / robe

It's beige / Ivory background with plain Pink/Peach trim at cuffs and lapels and rope belt

The brocade is profusely decorated with tigers and eagles - stunning - it's beautiful

It measures approx 44 inches - underarm measurement and 54 inches long neck to hem

The silk has faded at the lapels and cuffs and does show some fading and some staining

I am not really sure of the best way to clean this so I left well alone - it really does need cleaning but needs to be done so professionally

I do not see any holes in the fabric - just staining and fading which is quite obvious at Collar cuffs and also staining is seen on the lining in several places

I can't photograph all the stains as not enough photos are allowed - so have shown the worst areas

The rope belt is also very frayed with missing / detached tassels
