What makes this guitar special: A fantastic player’s grade Firebird, with an awesome look and a fantastic patina. At some point, a previous owner decided to convert this piece to a VII, routing out the middle position, and dropping in a set of Seymour Duncan mini-humbuckers. This allows for an awesome variance of sounds, from buttery mids in the neck position, to crisp and clean highs in the bridge position that cut through a mix without taking your head off. Professionally inspected and setup by the experts at Cream City Music, this beauty will arrive ready to play out of the case!

Cosmetic condition: This one has seen some playing, and shows plenty of authentic wear throughout. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs present, with visible buckle rash on the back of the body and areas of finish wear. There is some visible weather checking as well. The sides of the fingerboard near the first & second fret show a partial break that has been repaired, and the body has been routed for an additional pickup. The back control panel cavity has been routed for a replacement cover. There is no bird on the guard, so it is either a vintage replacement, or it has worn away with time. There is a filled chip on the back of the headstock, and oxidation on much of the hardware. There is an added strap button, and the bridge and tailpiece are not original. Overall, this one has an awesome player’s look to it, with a fabulous vintage patina.

Body: Neck-through solid mahogany body with mahogany wings in sunburst finish. Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece with 3-ply white pickguard. Added strap button on bass side.

Weight: 8 lb, 6.6 oz

Neck: Slim solid mahogany body with aged white side dots and pearl dot inlays. Rosewood fingerboard is in good shape, and frets show wear consistent with age, but still have life in them. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Black headstock overlay with gold Gibson truss rod cover. Original banjo tuners work great. Neck is straight and truss rod is functioning.

Electronics: Triple mini-humbuckers (Seymour Duncans in Neck & Middle, with original Gibson in the bridge). Bridge position-15.25k ohms, Middle position (Bridge & Middle)-6.71k ohms, Neck position-7.45k ohms. 3-way pickup selector switch and gold tophat knobs, 2x tone, 2x volume. Pots are unoriginal. All electronics have been tested and are fully functional.

Case: Original hard shell case included.
