You are bidding on this beautiful Vase 217-8” or 234’8” in the Corinthian Pattern made by Roseville Pottery. As you may know this was a middle period line and was introduced in 1923.
As you may know, Roseville’s Corinthian line has a fluted body, the grooves being tinted green in the manner of the earlier Donatello. At the mouth “each piece is finished with a real Italian Renaissance boarder,” (Pottery, Glass and Brass Salesman, July 12, 1923). Just beneath the rim, a well-modeled band of grapevines decorated in natural colors of brown, green and purple.
This is an unmarked piece. This vase is in excellent condition, with crazing commensurate with age.
This magnificent Roseville Corinthian Vase is perfect for any collector.
