This rare Tri-Planar speaker by University was made ca. early 1960's - the wooden frame of the spaker is 1-3/8" deep, the distance between the front and the back panel is 1-3/4".
The grille is original and could not be opened. Without opening the grille I still could figure out the cabinet contains two planar, flat speakers, each taking about the half of the cabinet and a third speaker - a tweeter. The magnets of the three speakers could be measured to be ca. 3" in diameter.

The
speaker was checked with an amp to be in excellent working condition with an excellent, rich vintage sound.
