In view is a Polaroid Job Pro “The Construction Camera” in great condition. First appearing in 1992, the Job Pro was produced with construction job sites in mind. It’s bright yellow and black color scheme is reminiscent of the safety and warning signs used by the construction industry. Similar to the Polaroid One Step Flash, it offers a fixed focus, single element 116mm lens with a close-up lens that slides over the normal lens to focus close to just under two (2) feet. Exposure control is provided by a sliding adjustment under the lens. An automatic flash is always available for dimly lit subjects.
This camera is in terrific condition. It is fully functional and works very well. Cosmetically it is very clean and well taken care of. There are a few visible marks in the plastic body but they are slight. The overall visual impression of the Job Pro is good. The viewfinder contains some debris (one large piece and several smaller ones) that is visible but does not affect the camera’s usefulness. The Polaroid Job Pro was designed to use Polaroid 600 film packs which are no longer available. However the Impossible Project produces several instant film products in color and black and white that work fantastically.
Polaroid One Step series cameras have always been fun. Especially at gatherings, parties, family reunions, etc. It’s really fun to be able to take pictures to pass around. Even digital can’t do that…
