Please Note:  This is a generic kit...in order to install this bed extension on your lathe you will need to drill two mating holes in your lathe bed, and possibly do some light filing/grinding to provide a good fit between your lathe bed and the bed extension as follows:

• Unplug your lathe
• Remove the plastic end cap, the tailstock, and the tool rest base
• Turn you lathe upside down so that the bed is resting on a flat surface (headstock hanging off the end of the bench)
• Place the bed extension upside down next to the end of you lathe and mark the center of the (2) 5/16" mounting holes
• Drill (2) 5/16" mounting holes into the end of your lathe
• It may be necessary to do some filing or grinding to properly mate the cast end surface of your lathe to the machined extension
• Align the bed extension accurately to your lathe bed and fasted with (2) 1/4" bolts, nuts, and lock washers
• Make sure the the top of the beds are flat and parallel and that the center gap is properly aligned and straight
• Flip the lathe back right side up and reinstall the tool rest base, the tailstock, and the plastic end cap
• You are now ready to turn pool cue sections, canes, baseball bats, bannister spindles, and much more
