Actual photos are shown. It is in very good condition, and all original. These chimes were used to announce dinner on railway cars and steamships.
There is a brass plaque on the back of the xylophone that reads "THE KOHLER LIEBICH CO. INCORPORATED, LIBERTY CHIMES, PATENTED CHICAGO USA 104M". Measures 7.5" wide x 12" long x 3" deep. Plates are made of metal, and the box is made of a beautiful finished hardwood (a few small nicks).
Metal keys show some wear, but are also in tact and original. The xylophone has 2 clips on the back that were used for hanging. The tone of the keys is amazing. A beautiful antique, and a great piece of American railroad history.
