KPC (Kaigo's Hana Photographer's Club) was formed in 1973. From the photographs accumulated over the years by "Sha-GIRL," (Japan's present standard in nudity), the prize winning artistic shots have been used to produce a collection.

"Kaigo No Hana" Photographers Club (K.P.C.) The name of our organization was inspired by a Chinese tale about the famous-concubine "Yang Kuei-Fei," who was reputed to be one of the four most beautiful women in Chinese history. According to "Kai-yuan Tien-pao I-shih," (a collection of famous tales from the prosperous Tang dynasty, 618-907 A.D.), it appears that one day the sixth Emperor of the Tang dynasty, Hsuan-tsung, was walking with his concubine, Yang Kuei-Fei, by the famous Tai Yeh pond when he stopped to admire the lotus flowers which were in a magnificent state of full bloom on the pond. He turned to the ladies-in-waiting, and, proudly indicating his concubine, stated "Not only does her beauty surpass that of the flowers on the pond, but she has the ability to understand the spoken word."

As a result of this delightful tale, beautiful women came to be referred to as "Kaigo No Hana"-"a flower that understands words."

We felt, therefore, that it was nothing but complimentary to the uniquely beautiful women that we photograph to name our organization "Kaigo No Hana Photographers Club."
