The Shoei NXR is the newest edition to Shoei's motorcycle range. The Shoei NXR has 4 outer shell sizes which makes up 5 different sizes. The helmet is constructed from Shoei's AIM material which is made from organic fibre and multi-composite fibre in various layers for a shock-absorbent shell with optimum rigidity, this shell construction is used throughout Shoei's range of motorcycle helmets. Shoei are one of a few helmet manufactures to have there own wind tunnel which they have use to provide the NXR with a aerodynamic shape that will glide through the air and help combat against lift and shake at high speeds.

The NXR has been fitted with a new visor, the CWR-1. The CWR-1 much like previous Shoei visor with the visor being pulled onto the helmet with springs in the side mechanism to provide a seal, however the NXR springs are much stronger and provides an air tight seal leaving no air gaps. With this new visor providing a better seal it would be a shame for you to have to keep opening your visor because of misting, well like all other Helmet in their range the NXR also comes with a free Pinlock Insert providing a completely fog free ride.

The inside of the NXR has been designed with 3D centre, ear and cheek pads providing a very soft and comfortable fit. As well as making the helmet more comfortable, Shoei have made the NXR a lot more quieter with their new interior help block out noise. The padding is like a Swiss army knife not only do they provide comfort and noise reduction but is also sweat absorbing to keep you cool when things get heated up.

Ventilation is something that Shoei take seriously and this can be seen throughout the Shoei range. With the NXR Shoei wanted to improve the ventilation and have produced a multiple venting and extraction system which can keep your head stable at high speeds. The NXR has been fitted with 10 vents all together with 4 inlets on the brow and chin for a fresh air supply and 6 outlets at the rear to get rid of as much hot air as possible.

ICE and we don't mean what you put in your drink, in case of emergency the NXR has been fitted with EQRS which all so feature in Shoei's top helmet the X Spirit 2. When a rider wearing a full-face helmet encounters an accident, removing the helmet by rescue people is unexpectedly difficult. Shoei's E.Q.R.S. (Emergency Quick Release System) is a system to make removing helmet easily by removing a cheek pad firstly minimizing load to neck.
