The case has a beautiful enamel image on the front displaying a tabby cat. The enamel has a silver rope border. The silver has a quality foliate design.

The inside of the cigarette case is hallmarked with a lion, an anchor and the date mark 'h'. There is also the silversmiths hallmark for William Hair Haseler.
