This 1873 Antique Art Print is titled ~ BUST ! ~ by W. M. Cary. An authentic full page engraving from The Aldine, published in New York.
Depicting the aftermath of an Indian attack on a covered wagon. One ox has died and the other is bristling with arrows. The settler lies on the ground with one boot off, presumably dead. A curious buffalo stands near, observing the site of the attack as buzzards soar above. The realism in this image is why W. M. Cary is known as one of the best Western artists of his period.
Image size is approx. 9" x 13" ~ Page size is approx. 11" x 16". Blank margin not fully shown, plenty of margin for framing. Blank on the back side, on heavier paper stock.
Minor and normal signs of age, will frame and display nicely in home, office or restaurant.
