Carl Zeiss Jena Binoculars JENOPTEM 7X50
Multi Coated Lenses

Superb Quality Wide View German Made Binoculars
Serial number 5272995 (1979)
production stopped in 1991
This is a fine top quality binocular that is in a good used condition.
No scratches on any lenses. There is one small optical flower seen on one objective lens but this has no impact on views that are typically Carl Zeiss stunning.
Coated Lenses - helps minimize lens reflections, improve the clarity of vision and protect the lenses

There is virtually no paint loss which suggests minimal use. Just the odd speck on the ends of the metal objective rims.

The main focus wheel and right diopter adjustment operate smoothly and correctly.
Both barrels in reverse view appear very clear and produce sharp and bright images.
These binoculars are collimated for prolonged fatigue - free viewing
(no double image)
I found the collimation to be 'very good' with no eyestrain.
These are a superb pair of binoculars made by Carl Zeiss the world famous German optical manufactures.
The hard red velvet lined brown binocular case is in a very good condition.
The brown leather binocular case strap and black binocular strap (made from plastic) are both in a very good condition.

Constructed of brass, steel and aluminium, covered with black lacquer and leather, Bakelite eyepiece surrounds.
Wide angle of view to aid easy object location - the 7x magnication is especially useful for Mari-timers.
These binoculars are both collectible as they are usable.
Binoculars will be well packed/padded.

Beware of Far Eastern produced Carl Zeiss copies which have a six digit serial number instead of the normal seven. These copies also have a groove running along the circumference of the large central focus wheel. They are inferior in both build quality and optical performance.
Thank you
