 A tranquil autumnal scene painted in an impressionistic style by Alexis Guy Korovin.
The Grand Morin valley, known as the valley of painters, has inspired many famous artists ,such as Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh and Corot.
Provenance: Purchased at auction in Montpellier, copy invoice available to purchaser.
Alexis Guy Korovine was born in Paris in 1928 and came from a family of famous painters which included Konstantin and Serge Korovine.
He trained at the Académie de la Grande Chaumiere and was an Associate of the Society of French Artists. He exhibited regularly in Paris and the provinces.
