BEAD NAMES and HISTORY: I am not a bead expert. I built this collection by purchasing beautiful, shimmering beads that would inspire me to create lovely jewelry. All of these beads I collected, as did my aunt and uncle. They were used in our respective(long ago closed) jewelry businesses. Most of The Collection is comprised of VERY VINTAGE ANTIQUE beads which were made in the late 1800's into the 1920's & 1930's. They were used most often in Fine Hand Made Beaded Evening Dresses, Beaded Bags, Purses, Flapper Dresses, Flapper Necklaces, Hats,& Lampshade Trims too!
