Fine antique picture frame, American (probably New England), 19th century, of mixed woods (pine, oak, maple, walnut) with marquetry inlay featuring a pattern of diamonds with pinwheel corners, the sight size of the aperture 4-3/4" x 3-1/4", the rabbet 5-5/8" x 4", the overall size 8" x 6-1/2" x 3-1/4", with original float glass and beveled wood backing. Mild surface wear, otherwise excellent condition, with no losses, retaining a rich, pleasing patina.
