The watchcase has been designed to ergonomically fit the human wrist. The foundation of our timepieces is the human forearm, the upper limb between the elbow and the wrist. The radius and ulna are the two long bones of the forearm that form the radioulnar joint leading to the wrist. Research has shown that extending and curving the lugs of our timepiece creates a larger foundation area, holding onto the sides of the radius or ulna bones, and equally distributing the weight of the timepiece across the radioulnar joint. This technology allows comfort when you wear a larger, heavier timepiece. We call this design concept “the genesis effect”.
