A rare full-calf binding by 'Edmonds and Remnants' of London. Loosely protected in an acetate sleeve. Original blind stamped boards, with the spine re-backed in calf. Gilt decoration to the edges, with gilt inner dentelles. Gilt finish to all page-edges. Light edge rubbing with a few small areas of rubbing and light marking to the boards. Internally there is an ink inscription to the front pastedown. Mostly light foxing within the contents, heavier in places. Rubbing and creasing along the bottom edge of one plate. Chromolithographic title-page, with 14 further full-page chromolithographs.
