YOU BUY THE FABRIC OF YOUR CHOICE AND WE'LL MAKE THE DRESS PER YOUR MEASUREMENTS.

Victorian one piece cotton dress perfect for any mid 19th century impression, made from the Atlanta Historical Society pattern that was drafted from their original shear one piece dress in their collection.  One piece dress is lined with muslin in the body unless specified not to be, fastens only at the waist with a hook and bar that can be moved for ease of size change, &  boasts at least 4 yards in the skirt so you can accommodate a normal 4 or 6 bone hoop if desired.  Sleeve choices include a full bishop sleeve with a ruffle at the cuff and elastic at the wrist.  YOU pick your color choice and fabric and ship 8 yards for 45" to 50" wide fabric, 6-7 yards for wider than 50" fabric.

We will need the following measurements:

Waist, Bust, Waist to Ankle length, Back Waist (from nape of neck where your bodice neckline would be to correct natural waist).

The dress will be made to these measurements, so if you desire a looser fit, please let us know at the time measurements are given.  We are not responsible for measurements that are taken inaccurately.  If you (or the person measuring you) are not sure of how to take these simple measurements, please call us and we'll walk you thru the correct way to take measurements.  This dress, as well as all of our custom made dresses, are all created from original pattern diagrams of the period.  Modern clothing is now created for a "drop waist," putting your waist much lower than the 19th century norm.  Wearing a corset will also put your waist at the correct location for this period.  If you are a "low rise" and "drop waist" jean wearer, you can always bend to the side, and where your skin bulges in at the side is most likely the correct location for your waist measurement to be taken.  Because this is a custom order there will be no returns accepted.  All side seams are exposed so that you may take in the bodice portion if needed.  We will be glad to meet with you at The Octagon House or various events that we set up at during the year for fitting adjustments etc.

Completion will be 10 days from the time the auction ends, payment is made, and fabric is received.  We welcome open communication throughout this process.

Shipping & handling includes insurance, sent priority mail. We would be happy to combine shipping for multiple purchases. We will ship internationally for an adjusted price, sent also priority-insured. All sales are final as we accept no returns, so please email any questions or concerns. Thank you for visiting today.
