Original pencil & watercolor original artwork by Jeff Jones, executed on textured watercolor paper, about 9" x 12" . Purchased from the artist Summer 1989 when he was artist guest-of-honor at a small regional horror convention in Warren, Rhode Island (NECON - Hoorah!) Jeff had a dozen pieces hanging at the art show that weekend and this was the only one to sell! Only to have had the foresight (and the cash, damn!) to buy them all. The similarity to the horror masterpiece AT NIGHT was instantly recognizable so I had to query the artist as to weather this was a prelim, study or whatever for the earlier piece. Not the case I was told, just an attempt to reimagine the piece rendered in watercolor. Nuff said.
First time on the market for this piece in near 30 years. The art was purchased new and has been well cared for over the years.
I've reproduced the AT NIGHT painting for reference only, it was photographed from the Jones card set and is included with purchase.
