The CrashGuard is a unique sound-shielding device that isolates the drum microphone to attenuate the sound of cymbals during the recording process. This has the net effect of reducing interference between the two sources thus enabling greater control over the sound of the drum.
Compact and light weight, the CrashGuard is designed to fit most popular drum microphones and mounts directly on the boom stand using the microphone's clip to hold it in place. The high impact ABS construction is tough enough to withstand the hit of a drum stick by even the most aggressive drummer.
To ensure the microphone performance is maintained, the under-belly is fully coated on the inside with high density open-cell foam to absorb internal reflections and reduce phase cancellation. Plus the innovative design features an extended cable cutout that allows the microphone to be articulated for precise placement, further optimizing the performance.
Once in place, the CrashGuard surrounds the microphone with a sonic barrier. By reducing the spill from the cymbals, more of the drum can be captured. This enables the engineer to add EQ to the drum such as increasing high end for more attack without accentuating the sound of the cymbal. On close proximity sources such as the high-hat and snare, the engineer enjoys greater balance over each sound.
The CrashGuard is an easy to use instrument shield designed to control the spill of cymbals entering the drum for greater control during the recording process.

Pure Wave Audio will not under-declare or gift-declare any shipments; doing so is illegal and jeopardizes us from doing business in the future. Most products under $1500 will be sent USPS Priority; shipping services are the at the discretion of Pure Wave Audio. Duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility.
Shipping Restrictions by Manufacturer
Some manufacturers restrict the shipment of their products outside of the United States. DACS, Pearl, PreSonus, Steinberg/Yamaha, Thermionic Culture and Waves products will only be shipped within the United States.

Except for Arizona, Domestic orders are responsible for their own sales tax.
Pure Wave Audio will not alter pricing to reduce duty fees for International orders. It is a federal offense to do so, with a fine of $10,000 per transaction.

General Return
If you made an incorrect or incompatible purchase, Pure Wave Audio will accept a return for store credit only (see exceptions* below). Returns must be requested within 30 days of purchase. The item(s) must be in new working condition and show no signs of wear or use. Store credit will only be issued in the amount of the original item(s) sale price (plus sales tax, if applicable), less a 20% restocking fee. Original sale price does not include shipping, handling, duties, or any other costs beyond the item price. Store credits are good towards the purchase of item(s) at Pure Wave Audio stores only. The customer is responsible for any and all shipping costs associated with returning the merchandise, as well as the cost of shipping for items purchased through store credit, if applicable. No store credits will be issued for returned items that are found to be damaged, abused or otherwise unusable.

Defective Merchandise
If you believe your item is defective, please contact the product manufacturer for technical support. If the item is deemed defective, Pure Wave Audio will accept a return in exchange for the same item only. Returns must be requested within 30 days of purchase. The customer is responsible for any and all shipping costs associated with returning the defective merchandise. Pure Wave Audio offers free shipping on the replacement merchandise. There is a 35% restocking fee if a returned item is found to be not defective. No exchanges will be authorized for returned items that are found to have been damaged or abused by the customer.
How to Return an Item
All returns must be requested within 30 days of purchase. To return an item, you must obtain a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from Pure Wave Audio by contacting our support email. All returns must have their complete and original packaging, along with all original contents (such as accessories, documentation, owner's manual, warranty card, etc.) The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the shipping package. Packages without an RMA number will not be accepted.
All returns, credits and exchanges are at the discretion of Pure Wave Audio.
